From Vision to Prophecy
When God speaks, His word carries prophecy. Jesus said:
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” – Luke 4:4
The word of God is prophetic because it contains a future waiting to be unlocked by obedience. Many seek God’s will, yet His will is written throughout Scripture. The key is not only to hear but to live by it.
The Delivery Method
God communicates His word in many ways:
- Jesus Christ: Saul encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus, transforming him into Paul (Acts 9).
- Scripture – The Sure Word of God: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” – 2 Timothy 3:16
- Dreams: “In a dream, in a vision of the night… Then he openeth the ears of men.” – Job 33:15–16
- Visions: “Your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.” – Joel 2:28
- His Spirit: “The Comforter… shall teach you all things.” – John 14:26
- Prayer: “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things.” – Jeremiah 33:3
- Journaling: “Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book.” – Isaiah 30:8
- Preaching the Gospel: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” – Romans 10:17
Prophecy Comes to Pass
Obedience unlocks fulfillment. Acknowledging God directs your path (Proverbs 3:6). Seeking first His kingdom adds all things to your life (Matthew 6:33). Faith believes. Vision sees. Prophecy reveals.
Prophesying Is Not a Game
We must not become “prophecy hoarders,” chasing words without obedience. God’s word requires action, not entertainment. That’s why journaling matters — writing the vision helps you remember, pray through, and walk out what God has spoken.
A Natural and Spiritual View
Man’s postal system mirrors God’s delivery:
- Mailer: Person → Mailer: Almighty God
- Messenger: Delivery driver → Messenger: God, angel of God, or person
- Method: FedEx, UPS → Method: Dreams, visions, journaling, prayer
Creation itself points back to God — and His delivery system is sure.
The Pattern of Faith, Vision, Prophecy
- Faith: Responds to what is heard.
- Vision: Sees what faith has embraced.
- Prophecy: Reveals what was unseen, now fulfilled.
Faith moves. Vision guides. Prophecy unveils the will of God.
Conclusion
Let us faithfully live by God’s word. As we record His vision, pray without ceasing, and walk in obedience, prophecy will manifest in our lives daily.
An Encouragement to Start
You can experience prophecy through obedience. Write what God speaks, believe His promises, and live it out in faith. Journaling is one of the most powerful ways to partner with His word.
